Hallo!

Wir sind eine Gruppe von 5 Mädchen und wir heissen Insidewomen. Wir besuchen die 12. Klasse im Martins Sarmento Gymnasium.
In „Área de Projecto” ( ein Fach in der Schule) Unterricht haben wir diesen Blog gemacht, um dir unsere Stadt zu zeigen. Das Thema ist „Tourismus und Kunst in Guimarães”, weil unsere Stadt für die „Europäische Kulturhauptstadt 2012” nominiert wurde.

Unsere Stadt

Dies ist unsere Stadt, die wir jeden Tag sehen, wenn wir zur Schule gehen. Und die Meinung sind meistens gleich: Sie ist sooooo schön!!!Deshalb haben wir jeden hübschen Platz, der uns interessiert und besucht werden soll, fotografiert. Wir hoffen, dass sie die ausgesuchten Plätze mögen! ;)

Es schneite in unserer Stadt! Es war am 9. Januar, nach 20 Jahre ohne Schnee. Klar haben wir das auch fotografiert ! Alles war weiss und es war einfach wunderschön!!!

Das Kultur-Zentrum Vila Flor

Diese ist das grösste Kultur-Zentrum in Guimarães mit vielen Sälen, zwei Hörsälle und Bühnen. Es ist ein altes Gebäude mit einem schönen und einfachen Garten. Die neuen Gebäuden sind modern.

Unsere Stadt an Weinachten

Wir können sagen: unsere Stadt ist einfach sehr schön! Und wenn es dunkel wird, ist sie noch schöner! Die Weihnachtsbeleuchtung ist unbeschreiblich! Deshalb haben wir die besten Plätze fotografiert und im Blog gepostet.

Penha - unser kleiner Berg am Stadthang

Der Santa Catarina Berg, eher als Penha bekannt, ist eine touristische Atraktion , weil er eine schöne und natürliche Landschaft hat. Ausserdem ist es wichtig, weil es auch ein Wallfahrt-Zentrum ist. Wir raten dir mit der Seilbahn dorthin zu gehen, denn es ist eine wunderbare Reise. Wir hoffen, dass diese Landkarte dir helfen wird auf dem Berggipfel zu gehen.Hier sind einige Bilder für dich; schau sie dir mal an!

Guimarães Burg

Unsere Burg ist wirklich die schönste in Portugal! Leute aus allen Ländern besuchen dieses imponente Denkmal jeden Tag. Gleich daneben liegt das Schloss “ dos duques”, das ein Besuch Wert ist, aber es wird leider in diesem Moment renoviert.

Stadt Park

Dieser Park ist für alle ein lustiger Ort, wo man Sport treiben oder einfach nur faulenzen kann. Viele Klassen aus allen Schulen in der Umgebung gehen oft mit den Lehrern dorthin, um Sport im Freien zu treiben. Das ist auch der “grünste” und sauberste Ort in unserer Stadt, den alle mögen aber manche sind nicht sehr umweltbewusst ab und zu sieht man leider Müll.

Hi! We’re the Insidewomen and we are in the 12th grade of the Martins Sarmento High School.
This blog is part of the “Area de Projecto”( a subject at school). As the name of the blog can tell, the subject of our project is Tourism and Art in Guimarães.
Since our city has been nominated for the European Capital of Culture in 2012, tourism has become even more important for the promotion of the city all around the world.

Our city

This is the city we see everyday when we come to school. And the opinions are not very different: it’s all beautiful!
So we photographed all places that we like and that we think deserve to be visited.

Snow in our city
It snowed last January in Guimarães, after 20 years without any snow. And we wanted to take pictures of the beauty of the white that made our city even more beautiful!

Vila Flor Cultural Center

This is the biggest Cultural Center in Guimarães. It has several exposition rooms, auditoria and stages. It is placed in an old building surrounded by a beautiful and simple garden in the city centre. The new administration buildings and the Auditoria are very modern and have a modern design.

Even not wanting to sound cheesy, we have to say: our city is really gorgeous! And when the night falls during Christmas season, it is really amazing! That’s why we decided to take photos of the best illuminations of this Christmas and post them here. We hope you´ll enjoy it!

Our little mountain Penha

The mount of Santa Catarina (Saint Catherine) is also known as Mount of Penha. It is one of the biggest touristic attractions for its natural beautiful landscape, and for its religious importance, since it is a peregrination centre. We advice all the tourists and visitors to use the cable car because it is a pleasant trip, where you can appreciate the beauty of this mount. We hope this map helps you to reach our beautiful “little mountain”.
When we went to Penha we had the opportunity to take unique photos of the sanctuaries, of the nature and all the religious symbols. That´s why we´d like to share them.

Guimarães Castel
Our castle is one of the most beautiful castles in our country, and this is only the truth (we are not boasting!)Recognized by UNESCO as cultural patrimony, this overwhelming castle is visited by lots of people from everywhere. Near the castle is the Paço dos Duques, which is worth to visit but it is being restored at this moment.

City's park

This park is for everyone a place where you can have fun and relax, too. It is swarmed with a lot of schools, which take the students there for sport activities. This is also the greenest and cleanest spot in our town that every one likes but it is not always respected as some are not eco-friendly.
